Our program features powerful real life stories from local people who have received our help and are making a difference for others. This year we will highlight our educational grants program with live and video speakers and meet some impressive young Social entrepreneurs and community activists who are paving the way for the future of our community.

Step Up to the Plate Speakers : The Next Generation
The next generation will inspire you and show you a compassionate future for the Bellevue community and beyond.

Ankur Jain (20 yrs) is the Founder and CEO of The Kairos Society, a nonprofit organization consisting of some of the brightest students from top universities around the world. These young people are striving to improve the world and challenge the next generation of leaders to develop globally impactful innovations. Ankur is a strong believer that the next generation of entrepreneurs can not only do well, but “Do Well by Doing Good.” www.kairossociety.com


Priyanka Jain (16 yrs) is the Director of the Seattle chapter of Circle of Women, where they “reach and teach across borders.” The organization seeks to bring education to girls in developing countries, improving their opportunities for self-reliance and stability in the future. Their first project is a secondary school for 1200 girls in Afghanistan. By empowering the young women of one community, Circle of Women hopes to create a world of change. www.circleofwomen.org


Taylor Brazen (18 yrs) is the Vice President of Community Service for Bellevue High School’s National Honor Society, encouraging highly academic students to give back to the community. Members make and deliver over 100 peanut butter sandwiches to Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission each month. Taylor is also co-founder of The Hart of Bellevue, providing support for Gary Hartness, a developmentally disabled adult and Bellevue High School alum who epitomizes the “spirit of the wolverine.
